P Mint version (Philadelphia Mint) - The Hawaii State Quarter is the fifth of the 50 state quarters to be released by the U.S. Mint in the year 2008 and the very last design of the entire 50 coin series. The reverse of Hawaii's quarter features the 8 Hawaiian Islands, King Kamehameha I, a spruce tree with waterfall, and the inscriptions "Ua Mau Ke Ea O Ka Aina I Ka Pono"--which translates "The life of the land is perpetuated in righteousness", "Hawaii", and the state's Union entrance date--1959.
